AWS Route Table settings for VM
Connection settings for VM’s created in HCP to come to the connected state
Ensure that the route table associated with the Subent / VPC of Virtual Machines created in HCP has a route 0.0.0.0/0 associated with an internet gateway.
For adding a route as specified/highlighted -
Create a new Intenet Gateway
Associate the Intenet Gateway to the VPC linked to VM created in HCP (Go to Action > Attach to VPC)
Go to the Route table associated with the subnet / VPC
Click on the Routes tab and Add a new route using the Edit Route
b. Add Route 0.0.0.0/0 and specify the new internet gateway as Target, Save the route.
Ensure the route table has the subnet association
Also, ensure that the Subnet has the Auto-assign public IPv4 address Enabled.
To check this, go to the associated subnet to the virtual machine
Go to Action > Modify auto-assign IP Settings
Ensure the setting is enabled - Enable Auto-assign public IPv4 address
