Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
Overview
This topic describes the steps to deploy a Kubernetes Cluster on Microsoft Azure Cloud using the Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
Prerequisites: Before you begin, ensure that:
You create Resource Groups dedicated for Kubernetes cluster via Service Orchestration.
Your Microsoft Azure Cloud Resource Pools are available and entitled to the User Id that creates the AKS Cluster.
Deploy a Kubernetes Cluster
To deploy a Kubernetes Cluster on Microsoft Azure Cloud using AKS:
Login to your HCP account.
Navigate to Service Orchestration > Services > Containers.
Click on Create New Kubernetes Cluster and then click on New.
Enter a Name for your Kubernetes Cluster.
Select the following:
Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) from the Target drop-down
Standard from the Type drop-down
Your HyperCloud™ Platform (HCP) Resource Pool from the Resource Pool(s) drop-down
Machine Type [1]
Optionally, you can enable these Entitled Users:
Only me (default)
Everyone
Groups and Users: lets other users deploy Kubernetes Apps to your Cluster
Click on Save Changes.
Note:
[1] You'll need to select your machine time based on the workload.
We recommend that you select instance type with more than 2 vCPUs.
