Overview

Read-Only Access is required to enable users to have limited access to the HCP portal in terms of the actions they can perform. Users with read-only access can view all the screens they are entitled to but are not allowed to perform any CRUD operations.

To facilitate read-only access, two new system roles have been introduced:

  • ROLE_READ_ONLY

  • ROLE_CLOUD_ADMIN_IMPERSONATE_READ_ONLY

Information: These roles can be assigned to CA or TA.

Note:

  • A user with read-only access can still perform certain actions, including but not limited to

    • Change password.

    • MFA Settings.

    • Access Key Generation etc.

  • A user with read-only access cannot perform any operation relating with that of a Tenant Admin.
