Overview
At times, end users might be using VMs for mission critical application and accidental Delete of VM by end users needs to be prohibited or controlled by admins. Cloud Management Platform (CMP) allows VMs to be marked as 'Termination Protected'. If someone accidentally removes the VM, a approval notice goes to immediate administrators for approval. Until and unless admin approves the deletion, VM cannot be deleted.
Termination Protection can be specified at two places.
