AWS Member Account

Overview

Before the release of v6.8.0, cost and usage was only available for AWS master accounts as the data was only collected for the master account. In the v6.8.0 release, cost and usage support for member account has been added as described below.

On-boarding of AWS member account

The onboarding process of a member account is similar to that of a master account.

Note: While onboarding, please make sure that you are logged in with same account ID as that on your AWS console.

  1. Select the Member option from the AWS checklist in the dropdown and onboard it just as you would a master account.

  2. Provide Administrative account consent for Spend Analysis and Security/Compliance.

3. Click on Done. The wizard will move to the next screen.

4. Provide a Name for your account.

5. If you wish to enable Orchestration features for this account, provide AWS Access ID and AWS secret Key.

6. You can optionally share this account with the users under your tenancy.

7. Click on Create Role ARN to complete the procedure.
The account will be listed under your master account if it is already onboarded.

Cost Collection

Service Level Cost: When a member account is onboarded without a master account its cost status will be set as SERVICE LEVEL COST under account management as shown below.
