Overview

HyperCloud™ Platform (HCP) provides continuous cloud resource utilization and cost management for Azure, AWS and GCP. The key features of cost and usage management are:

  • Continuous monitoring of resources utilization and cost.

  • Customizable cost and usage view across multiple accounts.

  • Query based on preset dates or custom date range, resource groups and tags.

  • Visualize cost and usage at account, service, sub-service and resource level.

  • Save and share saved report.

Cost and Usage View

  • To view cost and usage, specify a date range and one or more cloud account.

    • Other optional filters such as services, resource groups (for Azure) or tags can be added to the query.

    • The list of services, resource groups and tags are based on the accounts selected.

  • The graph shows the total cost by accounts with details of each account in the table below.

  • There are multiple levels of detail in each account. User can click on View Detail at each level to see the next level of information.

  • For each account, there are services. Under each service, there are sub-services. For each sub-service, there are resources and usage.

  • Not all account types have resource level details. For GCP or AWS account without Cost and Usage Report (CUR), you can access service level cost and usage only. Here is an example of service level cost and usage:

  • Each Cost and Usage view can be downloaded via Export.

    • The downloaded report is in CSV format.

Saved Reports

  • A cost and usage view can be saved as a report.

    • A saved report can be viewed anytime without re-entering the filter criteria.

    • To save a report, go to the bottom of the filter bar and click on Save.

  • A saved report can be shared with any user on HCP.

    • Cloud or Tenant Administrators, or any user with a Governance Security role can view a shared report.

    • Only the owner of a report can modify the report.

    • To share a report, go to Saved Reports view > select Share action on a report > Enter the users.

  • From the Saved Reports view, you can view, share and delete an existing report.
