If you have an installation of iQSonar, and you want to back up your database, but you have forgotten which instance of MS SQL Server you installed the database on,
How do you find your database?

Step-by-step guide

  1. In the iQSonar UI, log in to the database
  2. On any screen, click on the red "Learn More" button on the bottom of the interface screen. The information displayed includes the name of the database
  3. From the top menu, go to System Activity and then to System Performance
This will show you your database server details.

This could be useful to know if you need to back up your database before an upgrade, or just in general to make a periodic database backup.

Don't Forget:
When making a database backup, you need to remember to back up the file iqsonar.key in the iQSonar install folder.
