Enhanced CSP Tenant Management

Overview


In HyperCloud™ Platform (HCP) 6.3.1, CSP tenant creation and its linking process was the same as that of creating an HCP tenant and linking it with a CSP customer. However, in 6.3.2:

  • Updates have been made to the tenant management screen.

  • The Cloud Administrator can now add or update pricing adjustment for customers.

  • You can enable monitoring for customers, and retrieve spending and usage details. This will provide customers with full knowledge of their resources and utilization.

  • You also have the capability to access and schedule timely reports.

Tenant Link View


HCP Tenant Dashboard provides visibility to CSP customers about full spectrum of costs which is critical to accurately understand organizational spending patterns. One can use these spending patterns to enforce cost control mechanisms, like budgets and Infrastructure Management.

HCP backed by its monitoring and analytical services provides cost and spending analysis to explore and analyze organizational costs for the customers and also makes available cost optimization for the customers to identify and review cost vs utilization originating from different resources. Once a Tenant is linked to CSP Customer, they will have access to the CSP Tenant Dashboard.

Customer Billing Settings : Pricing Adjustment


For CSP customers, the cost accumulated for all the subscriptions under monitor also depends on the following three factors which are a part of pricing adjustments. These adjustments may vary from customer to customer.

Cost calculation consists of

  1. "Microsoft Discount" at CSP account level.

  2. Additional markup or discount at Customer level.

  3. Tax Rebate if any at the customer level.

Microsoft Discount
  • This is the discount that Microsoft provides to CSP partners and is used to calculate and show list pricing of Azure resources.

  • MS discount can be provided while adding a CSP partner to HCP or while editing the Partner details.

 

Customer Pricing Adjustment
  • Markup can be added for a customer from the customer page by the Cloud Administrator in order to include the cost coverage percentage of services that the partner has or provides with to the customer.

  • The CA will have options to include either Markup or Discount and Tax Rebate if any.

  • In order to access these settings,

    1. Login to your HCP account.

    2. Go to customer page from Administration > CSP Management > Customers >  Select a Customer >  Select Billing Settings on the left pane.
