Installation of second scan engine as a collector

Step-by-step guide

Customer were using 1 UK scan engine server(UK SE)
US scan engine server setup to min prereqs.


(US SE)

  • Ran the installer,
  • Pointed the iQSonar to existing UK database with local SQL credentials
  • Clicked Test connection. Connection Successful, Clicked next
  • Selected custom install
  • Unchecked scan engine with UI, Clicked next
  • Created a new separate encryption key from the UK SE.
  • Install.
    Installation finished without error.

(UK SE)

  • Logged into server
  • Checked Database, both scan engines are present
  • Logged into the UI, the US SE was not present
  • Restarted the Scan engine service
  • Rechecked the UI, the US SE is now present as well as the UK SE
