A CSP tenant is a HyperCloud™ Platform (HCP) tenant linked with CSP customer by CA , and for which CA has enabled and configured minimum set of requirements.

Every tenant role has to go through the csp-tenant https://gridstore.atlassian.net/wiki/pages/createpage.action?spaceKey=SD&title=CSP+Tenant+%28v6.3.2%29&linkCreation=true&fromPageId=457872232 process and also that customer once linked has to have pricing factors such as tax-rebate or discount set along with monitoring enabled on any one of the subscription. All these set of requirements are fulfilled by CA while or after on-boarding a customer to HCP as a tenant else the behavior of the tenant will be no different then HCP tenant but without CSP features available.

Report Scheduling


A HCP Tenant when linked to CSP customer reflects all the cost and utilization information for all the resources that are part of the subscriptions under monitor if enabled. It provides summary and subscription wise detailed statistical data for the resources and also facilitates a tenant to schedule periodic reports based on date and services specified in the scheduling dialog and deliver generated reports back to the recipients provided via email.

Cost and Optimization Report Scheduling

Go to Customer Management → Azure CSP → Select Cost/Optimization Tab

Cost View provides for the data collected over time for a specific subscription and categorize it per services such as Bandwidth, Storage , Virtual Machines and Virtual Network etc. Thus a user/customer can not only view cost variations for its resource though the HCP portal but also has two other option to capture on demand or as required via Download Report and Report Scheduling feature.

Download Report

This enables users to download the reports as produced on the screen in the Excel format. This report will divide cost data divided around services for the subscription over date range as selected along with the summary view.

Report Scheduling

Once a user click on to the “REPORT SCHEDULING” button a scheduler model window will pop up to enable user to schedule timely delivery of the reports through email defined in the recipient list.

This provides customer with options to set periodical report generation for multiple subscription at a time and also define periods on which this data needs to be captured and delivered.

Report scheduling will generate reports in excel format and depending on number of subscriptions scheduled will contain that many reports attached to the recipient's mail.

Optimization Report scheduling also works the same way as cost based scheduling and will provide timely optimization based recommendation reports based on the subscriptions selected and periodical cycle defined by the user.

This will provide the customers with timely reports to compare resource utilization over time and decide on the recommendations provided by HCP Monitor and Analytical Service , This key feature will enable users to recognize their idle , low or high utilization resources those of which may need attention or resizing based on their utilization drops or hikes over a period of time.

Instance analysis reports not only will put forth compute and storage variations but will also bring about how much a customer can optimize and balance utilization and cost matrices to achieve cost effectiveness and regulate configurations.

Usage Report Scheduling

Go to Customer Management → Azure CSP → Select Usage Tab

Usage view works the same way as cost and optimization except for the cost it provides usage based metrics over a selected period of time to the users.

This divides data being collected into services and further details it into multiple date range as selected by user.

Report here as well can be downloaded either directly from the usage screen based on the selection criteria or it can be scheduled for multiple subscriptions and time period for intended recipients.

Disabling Report Scheduling


Report scheduling for cost,usage and optimization can also be disabled whenever required from a toggle button on the scheduler window.
