Overview


Cloud Management Platform (CMP) lets your Cloud and Tenant Administrators manage your Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud Provider. 

Create Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud Provider


Before you begin


You'll need to create a Cloud Account on your CMP portal. To know more, refer to the section on Cloud Account Management.

Create Cloud Provider on CMP


To create an Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud Provider on the CMP portal:

  1. Login to your CMP account.
  2. Navigate to Service Orchestrations > Providers > New > Amazon AWS.

  3. Click the Cloud Account on which you want to create the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Provider.
    This will open the Resource Manager dialog for Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  4. Click Load Regions.

  5. Select the remote cloud provider region from the Region dropdown.
  6. Enter a name for your Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud Provider.

  7. Click Save Changes. 
    Saving your changes, triggers the resource discovery in the Account and Region you specified in the Resource Manager dialog above. This process includes the discovery of the networking details for your Amazon Web Services (AWS) subscription.  

Note

Whenever you make changes to your network settings on your Amazon Web Services (AWS) Portal, you'll have to synchronize these changes in data between your Amazon Web Services (AWS) and CMP portal. To do that, you'll need to use the Refresh Info feature on the CMP portal.

To Refresh Info for a Cloud Provider on your CMP portal:

  1. Login to your CMP account.
  2. Navigate to Service Orchestrations > Providers > Select the name of your Amazon Web Services (AWS) Provider > Overview > Refresh Info.

Once you've configured your Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud Provider, you can: 

  • Configure Amazon Web Services (AWS) availability zones.
  • Set up the lease period for your Cloud Provider.
  • Allow wizard-based VM provisioning of your Cloud Provider.
