Overview
This topic describes the steps to deploy a Kubernetes Cluster on Google Cloud Platform using Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE.)
Deploy a Kubernetes Cluster
- Login to your CMP account.
- Navigate to Service Orchestration > Services > Containers.
- Click Create New Kubernetes Cluster and then click New.
- Enter a Name for your Kubernetes Cluster.
Select the following:
Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) from the Target drop-down
Standard from the Type drop-down
Your Cloud Management Platform (CMP) Resource Pool from the Resource Pool(s) drop-down
Machine Type
You'll need to select your machine time, based on the workload.
3 or higher from the Node Count Per Zone from the drop-down
From the Auto-Scaling section:
Number of Minimum Workers per Pool from the drop-down.
- Number of Maximum Workers per Pool from the drop-down.
Optionally, you can enable these Entitled Users:
Only me (default)
Everyone
Groups and Users: lets other users deploy Kubernetes Apps to your Cluster
Click Save Changes.
