Introduction

This document provides detailed instructions for the install, configuration and registration of your iQCloud virtual appliance. In order for iQuate to collect data from servers in the estate a Virtual Appliance must be deployed to act as a proxy between the iQCloud platform and your environment.

The iQCloud virtual appliance is a preconfigured Virtual Machine (VM)with the iQCloud software installed. The appliance collects data from the servers in the target estate and processes the data in the iQCloud platform to determine server and application inventory and generateservice maps.
