Installation is carried out using AD integrated user.

Expected Behaviour:
to Scan via the SSH Proxy
Actual Behaviour:
Sky have only allowed the route through the proxy it isn’t scanning, it looks like it knows there is something there, but it won’t pick it up.

If I add an SSH credential, this seems to bypass the ssh proxy server and starts to scan the devices. Have I got this set up correctly or is there something I have missed.

Step guide

The SSH Proxy credentials need to be set up manually because, at the moment, they cannot be imported. This configuration will scan a server through a SSH Proxy. To do this do the following:

  1. Navigate to the Locations page on the application
  2. Navigate to SSH Proxy location
  3. Navigate to Credentials tab of that location
  4. Click on the Create button
  5. Select SSH Proxy from the Credential Type drop down
  6. Enter a Label of "root-Password"
  7. Enter a "Proxy User Name" of "root"
  8. Enter a "Proxy Password" of "Falcon99"
  9. Enter a "Proxy Address" of "192.168.4.18"
  10. Enter a "Proxy Port" of "22"
  11. Enter a "Proxy Command" of "ssh -l {username} -o StrictHostKeyChecking=no {hostname}"
  12. Enter a "Proxy Prompt" of "Password"
  13. Click the "Save & Close" button

Associate the Child Credential with the Parent Credential

  1. On the parent credential - in this case the "Unix Linux" credential with label "root-falcon" click the "Edit" button
  2. Click on the "Child Credential" drop down
  3. Select the child credential - In this case "root-Falcon99" labelled
  4. Click the "Save & Close" button
